I don’t know what to do.
Hey Isaac. Are you alright?
Yeah, you?

I don’t know what to do.
Hey Isaac. Are you alright?
Sooo.
So, I found three volunteer positions!
Monday-animal shelter.
Wednesday-senior citizen home.
Friday- soup kitchen.
Guess who’s excited? yep, this girl.

So, I’m not going to be around today.
I’m going to the mainland to find some volunteer work. Have a nice day (:
p.s I hope you’re feeling better today Isaac (:

Isaac smiled at how much she cared. He didn’t think he’d had so many people care whether he was alright before. He took her pinky with his own. “I promise. If I’m not fine tomorrow I’ll talk to you, okay?”
Emily returned his smile as their pinkys clasped. “Great.” Her head nodded in agreement with her statement. She hoped she didn’t come off too pushy. It just wasn’t in her nature to let people hurt, especially themselves. If there was anything she could do for him, she wanted to do it.

She sighed. “It’s not a burden. Trust me.” Emily realized what she said. “Agh. Sorry. But seriously, it isn’t. Whatever it is that’s going on in your little head, won’t just go away,” She paused for a second just to sigh again. “Trust me, I know.” Emily knew where he was coming from. Talking about things that made you cry was not the easiest thing to do. Nor was it something that most are willing to do. “It’s okay. In the long run, things will get better. They have too.” She said as she smiled softly at him.
When she first spoke he worried that she had heard everything but from what she said it didn’t seem like she did. He shook his head. “It’s just stupid. It’s happened before, I’ll feel better tomorrow I promise. I’m sorry for making you worried about me. I’m fine.” He smiled back at her but he got the feeling that it hid some secrets too.
“It isn’t stupid if it’s hurting you.” she said plainly. “But if you say so. And just remember, you promised me.” Emily pushed her sleeve up to her forearm, freeing her hand. She extended her pinky out to him. “Pinky promise.”
